Scholarships and Financial Aid
EAC offers two types of scholarship, financial aid, and a family discount to assist academically distinguished and/or students with limited financial resources in financing their education.
Chancellor’s Scholarship
Newly admitted full-time students to the HND and Bachelor degree programmes may apply for the highly competitive Chancellor’s Scholarship, which covers up to 100 percent of the tuition fees (not including the registration and textbook fees) provided that they have a minimum cumulative average of 90 percent or equivalent, for UAE nationals, and 95 percent or equivalent, for expatriates, in the last year of their secondary education. Newly admitted full-time students to the MBA programmes may also apply for the Chancellor’s Scholarship provided that they have a minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 in the credit hour system or its equivalent in the modular system. Students who apply for the Chancellor’s Scholarship are expected to demonstrate outstanding personal qualities and the ability to scientifically and literary contribute to the college and community. The Chancellor’s Scholarship is awarded only in the First (or Fall) semester of every academic year.
The application forms are available at the EAC Admission and Registration Office. Completed application forms must be submitted, with the required supporting documents, to the Dean of Admission and Registration by a deadline announced by the Admission and Registration Office prior to the admission starting date for the particular fall semester. Applicants will be asked to appear for interviews and/or take a college test before a final decision is made by the EAC Vice Chancellor.
Students who are awarded the Chancellor’s Scholarship must sustain an excellent academic standing (minimum CGPA of 3.5 in the credit hour system or its equivalent in the modular system) throughout their study at EAC to maintain their entitlement for the scholarship.
College Scholarship
Newly admitted and continuing full-time students, who are not awarded or were not entitled for the Chancellor’s Scholarship, may apply for the college Scholarship, which covers up to 30 percent of the tuition fees (not including the registration and textbook fees). To qualify for the college Scholarship, newly admitted students must have a minimum cumulative average of 80 percent or equivalent, for UAE nationals, and 90 percent or equivalent, for expatriates, in the last year of their secondary education. Continuing students must be in a very good academic standing (minimum CGPA of 3.0 in the credit hour system or its equivalent in the modular system). Newly admitted full-time students to the MBA programmes may also apply for the college Scholarship provided that they have a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in the credit hour system or its equivalent in the modular system, at their bachelor degree level. The College Scholarships are granted by the EAC Vice Chancellor in each semester, based on merit, and are valid for that particular semester.
The application forms are available at the Admission and Registration Office. Completed application forms must be submitted, with the required supporting documents, to the Dean of Admission and Registration by a deadline announced by the Admission and Registration Office prior to the admission starting date for the particular semester.
The College Scholarships are limited in numbers and are only available for students enrolled in EAC programmes at the HND level or higher.
Financial Aid
Newly admitted and continuing students may apply for tuition remission of up to 20 percent if they have limited financial resources. The percent remission depends on the established need and amount available. The application forms are available at the Admission and Registration Office. Completed application forms must be submitted, with the required supporting documents, to the Dean of Admission and Registration by a deadline announced by the Admission and Registration Office prior to the admission starting date for the particular semester.
An applicant for financial aid must demonstrate a good academic standing; newly admitted students must have a minimum cumulative average of 70 percent or equivalent in the last year of their secondary education. Continuing students must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 in the credit hour system or its equivalent in the modular system. Financial aid is granted by the EAC Vice Chancellor in each semester and is valid for that particular semester.
Family Discount
Families that have more than one son/daughter enrolled simultaneously in the college as full-time students are entitled to the Family Discount. A 10 percent discount on the lower tuition fees is granted when two siblings are enrolled at the college in any semester. If three or more siblings are enrolled at the college in any semester, a 10 percent discount is granted on the two lower tuition fees. To receive the Family Discount, students must complete the appropriate application form available at the finance office during the registration period.
