General Admission Requirements
Emirates Aviation College (EAC) aims, through its academic programs, to produce
competent graduates who can contribute to the increased demand of the widely expanding
aviation industry while emphasizing quality education. Applicants to the programs are
considered on the basis of their qualifications regardless of race, color, gender, religion,
disabilities, age or national region.
The language of instruction is English and a good command of the language, both oral and written,
is essential for students’ success in the academic programs at EAC.
The Admission and Registration Office is responsible for responding to admission inquiries and
processing applications.
Admission Regulations
- Admission will be granted for a specific semester. Failing to join the college in that semester will nullify the applicant’s rights for admission and a new application must be submitted.
- Student’ files and documents are kept and maintained at the Admission and Registration Office. All the documents that are submitted in support of an application become the property of the college. Accepted or rejected, applicants may not reclaim any of these documents.
Minimum Admission Regulations
- UAE General Secondary School Certificate with a minimum average of 70%, for the Bachelor Degree Programs, or its equivalent as approved by U.A.E Ministry of Education and Youth.
- Admissions to the Engineering Programs are limited to students with Scientific Secondary Certificates.
- English Language Proficiency;
TOEFL with a minimum score of 500 (international papers), or 173 (computer base), or 61 (internet) or
IELTS with a minimum score of 5,
the maximum validity of TOEFL report is 12 months and IELTS report is 24 months from the date of issue.
- Students who do not meet the above English language proficiency requirements may be enrolled in an intensive English language program for a maximum of two semesters.
- Students applying for Engineering Programs are required to pass a Math entry test. Those who do not pass will be offered a foundation course in Math before they are admitted to the program.
Documents Required for Admission
- Completed application form collected from the admission and registration office.
- Official secondary school certificates (last 3 years mark sheets, 10,11,12) or its equivalent certified/attested by the appropriate authorities.
- A birth certificate copy.
- A photocopy of the applicant’s passport plus a visa page.
- Four recent, colored, passport-sized photographs.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or IELTS original certificate.
Application Procedure
There are two types of admission procedures: regular and transfer.
Regular Admission
If you have completed your secondary school education and have a secondary school certificate, you can apply by:
- presenting your completed documents to the Admission and Registration Office during the admission period that is specified in the academic calendar;
- complete the required interviews and entry exams.
Transfer Applicants
Students transferring from other institutions of higher education can be admitted subject to the following conditions:
- They are transferring from a recognized and accredited institution of higher education and have successfully completed one or more semesters in that institution.
- They meet the secondary school requirements for admission at EAC.
- They meet the English language proficiency requirements of EAC.
- They submit official transcripts of their secondary school and college/university records along with syllabi and description of courses they wish to transfer. Courses taken more than five years prior to applying as an undergraduate student at EAC are not transferable. Furthermore, of the total credits required to obtain a degree, a maximum of 50 percent of the credits can be transferred from other institutions of higher education.
- Complete and submit course equivalence application forms for the courses they wish to transfer.
- Pay the appropriate fees.
