One year programme
Overview
This programme gives you the opportunity to build on your knowledge in preparation for a career as an aircraft mechanic. The BTEC National Certificate also enables you to progress towards the BTEC Higher Diploma, or towards EASA part 66 “aircraft maintenance license”.
Entry requirements for this course
- Five recent GCSEs at grade 'C' or above – including Mathematics and Physics or;
- High school certificate (or equivalent qualifications) or;
- A First Diploma in Engineering
- You should be a minimum of 16 years old
Note: Candidates with grades below those stated above will be offered the BTEC First Diploma programme, subject to the relevant requirements.

Completion of the total required number of units will entitle you to a BTEC National Certificate. The above combination of units may, however, be subject to change.
